The art world is a mysterious place, no two artists have the same work life and it can be difficult to understand how your skills, ideas and education could translate into a job. This booklet explores jobs in the art world from the perspective of two freelance artists and educators.

Initially devised to offer young people a better insight into the options they may have if they choose to pursue a creative career, having been given very little guidance at school ourselves, we hope this booklet offers anyone considering a career in the arts two honest and detailed accounts of what being an artist today looks and feels like.
